In Army of the Dead, just one zombie manages to turn most of Las Vegas into the shambling undead. But that could never happen to your city, right? RIGHT?!?
Luckily for you, scientists love to prepare for the zombie apocalypse and have some answers. We scoured the hordes (get it?) of zombie studies out there — which often use the same mathematical models that predict actual pandemics — and assembled the factors that scholars say would determine a city’s zombie survivability. We then picked five cities that would be relatively well situated when the zombies come. (Spoilers: Vegas didn’t make our list …)
