Album Review by Nigel A. Messenger
After 3 singles Wilt finally release their debut album on 3 July in the UK.
Hailing from Dublin, Ireland the trio have been busy on the indie scene recently touring with The Crocketts, Seaford, Soulwax and Idlewild and appearing as special guests of Moby at Ireland’s Cork and Galway festivals. They will also be with My Vitriol in July 2000 and playing at Glastonbury and the Leeds and Reading festivals.
The album is fresh and fast paced, my favourite tracks being RADIO DISCO, PEROXATIN and WORKING FOR THE MAN.
Wilt are a great new indie sound for 2000. I recommend getting their first album now as in a couple of years it could be looked back on as a classic. The only thing I don’t understand is why a band with a hard indie rock sound call themselves Wilt. That’s the last thing this music is.
