Followers of StoneBridge have seen his career catapult over the last 6 months from legendary remixer/DJ to join that exclusive club of über producers with his long-awaited debut album, “Can’t Get Enough”. The Swedish producer has made a phenomenal album and produced an exceptional listening experience that the British public are simply demanding – CAN’T GET ENOUGH!
This incredible success story began last summer when PUT ‘EM HIGH swiftly became the tune in Ibiza and a No.1 club smash twice over. The song was released nationally last Autumn and stormed the singles chart at No. 6.
And now StoneBridge is on the eve of enjoying another chart smash with the exhilarating TAKE ME AWAY. The single has hit the no.1 spot on all the club charts and has dominated the UK radio airwaves for the last two months with a Radio 1 ‘A’ list and playlists at Capital, Kiss and all the key regional stations. Both tracks feature the exquisite vocals of Swedish vixen Therese who is currently recording her debut solo album.
Over the years StoneBridge, has circulated (and remixed) with the cream of the global house scene and it was from his impressive phone book that he hand picked the featured artists on the album. From the divine Therese to Ultra Naté, Chris Coco, Julie Morrison, Kenny Thomas or Jay Soul the results represent the fresh qualities StoneBridge has brought to his first major studio album.
StoneBridge, a stalwart of the exclusive international DJ set, has been responsible for remixing many no.1 hits including, most recently, ENRIQUE IGLESIAS ‘Escape’, a No.1 Billboard club play and worldwide hit.
When StoneBridge joined the Hed Kandi DJ roster two years ago he formed strong bonds with label boss and A&R supremo Mark Doyle. The Hed Kandi culture offered Stonebridge the support and vision he needed to make “Can’t Get Enough”.
With a beating heart and soul at the epicentre of this album StoneBridge has resisted ultra-flash production and made a solid record: “I wanted an album with full songs, not just tracks, because in a years time it will be the songs that are remembered. The spirit could be described as future-retro, but at the same time it is a varied collection because of the many collaborators. I also used a lot of retro gear when recording the album to make it sound warm and less programmed,” enthuses StoneBridge.
Hed Kandi, the record label who always makes sure they give a little extra to their global army of achingly hip, discerning music lovers have included a complimentary CD with the deluxe version of CAN’T GET ENOUGH.
