ONE ROBOT is taken from the Australians’ latest album CONTACT HIGH, and it’s an impressively well-realised fusion of bubbling electronics, driving rhythm and psychedelic guitars. Even better, a buzzsaw guitar kicks in towards the end and sends the song stratospheric.
B-side IN MY HEAD is even more out-there, although it amounts to little more than shuffling and mumbling for five minutes before a brief punk wig-out, while the Secret Machines remix of ONE ROBOT takes things into a satisfyingly spacey dimension.
