Single Review by Mark Bayross
My Vitriol still have a long way to go before they have to pay full fare on trains, and already they have had a monumental amount of attention bestowed on them by the music industry. They charted with the infectious ALWAYS: YOUR WAY, effortlessly lived up to expectations with their stonking debut album FINELINES, then sold out their first headlining tour.
You know you’ve made it when your singles start being released across two CDs, and live favourite GROUNDED sees them enter the big league in style. If you haven’t heard it yet, GROUNDED is the kind of three-minute guitar stunner My Vitriol seem so adept at cranking out – My Bloody Valentine meets Foo Fighters – and catchy as foot and mouth.
Across the two CDs you’ll also find a raucous cover of Madonna’s OH FATHER and an acoustic version of ALWAYS: YOUR WAY.
My Vitriol are set to support Ash, Feeder and the Manic Street Preachers over the next couple of months, and are bound to crop up at the odd festival this summer, so everyone should get a chance to see them this year. Don’t miss out.
