Single Review by Mark Bayross
Not an ode to Manchester United and Holland’s star striker, but the latest single from the Icelanders’ third album HALLDOR LAXNESS. Urgent and spiky, it nonetheless carries enough melody beneath the raging guitar noise and post-punk drumming to give them an about-bloody-time shot at popular recognition.
The single comes on 7”, backed by new song WEDDING DRESS, and CD, which has a remix by Chris Sheldon, a version of AMBIENCE OF HILARITY and the song SKITSAMA from the band’s first ever demo session.
