This is a deep soulful mix of contemporary rhythm & blues/soul featuring production by Cato, Suga Dave, Meshell and Missy Elliot.
Stand out tracks are track 7 – TRUST featuring Caron Wheeler of Soul II Soul classics such as BACK TO LIFE and POCKETBOOK Remix featuring Redman and Tweet with production by Missy Elliot.
Unlike Meshell’s former album PLANTATION LULLABIES Meshell hardly sings on this album she mainly preaches various verses on life and perceptions of black people and culture. This is a spoiler because this woman can when she wishes too actually sing extremely well.
All in all for something very deep, thought provoking and originally different, Meshell would be your ticket!
