From what I’ve previously heard of Liz Phair’s music I have to admit that when I listened to this album for the first time I was expecting something more than this soft rock sound.
It’s not that there is anything wrong with the music and Liz has a good voice, it’s just that for the most part the album seems to lack energy and I found myself wanting the album to end so I could put another CD on.
The best tracks in my opinion are the ones that really get going, namely STARS AND PLANETS, GOT MY OWN THING and the best of all GIVING IT ALL TO YOU which is probably the most upbeat of all.
