Review by Mark Bayross
INFERNO HIGH LOVE is the debut single from Kelli Ali, formerly vocalist with the Sneaker Pimps (in their earlier, record-selling incarnation).
Taken from her long-anticipated album TIGERMOUTH, it’s a high-energy rush of pure pop about getting literally high on love, with the person/people you love, and loving it…er, you get the general idea. It’s pretty much a statement of intent from the charismatic Ms Ali and a clear indication of where her head is at these days.
Additional tracks come in the form of the slow-burning strings and beats of LUCIFER RISING and the sleazy, electro-funk of LIPGLOSS, hinting that TIGERMOUTH will be a tantalisingly diverse affair. Watch this space.

Kelli Ali’s superb solo debut album TIGERMOUTH, released in late June, is sure to raise several eyebrows in the music industry. For me though, INFERNO HIGH LOVE is far inferior to some of the tracks on it and quite a disappointing selection for the first single.
The song, containing a guitar riff lifted straight out of John Lennon’s COLD TURKEY, is an airy affair that sinks under its basic pop formula. Kelli will need to be careful if she wants to fully procure the acclaim her album deserves. The follow-up single should and will be better than this one.
