Single Review by Mark Bayross
As in this case, it’s becoming more commonplace for bands to issue comeback singles as downloads or on limited edition 7” as it allows for a low key dip in the water before the fanfare of a full release. Given that JJ72 disappeared off the radar after the excellent I TO SKY album in 2002 and replaced their bassist in the process (with ex-Fangs bassist Sarah Fox), this most definitely qualifies as a comeback.
There’s a proper single release due in July but for fans and early birds this will more than do for now: SHE’S GONE pairs epic, glossy production with some truly huge song dynamics, an absolute belter that paints a very encouraging picture for the third album. Welcome back.
