Music Review by Neil Sadler
Perhaps it is the Eurovision effect but Finland’s Hanoi Rocks return with a double bill – FASHION and TROUBLE BOYS and they are clearly enjoying themselves.
FASHION is more glam rock than hard rock and sounds a bit like Sigue Sigue Sputnik to me – although far more tuneful. It has the kind of hook and daft lyrics that you’ll find yourself humming when you least expect it. TROUBLE BOYS sounds more like Aerosmith – but still has that glam – almost poppy edge to it. There is nothing dark about this – but then Hanoi Rocks never really did dark. This is teased, glossy metal your parents would approve of.
