Single Review by Mark Bayross
Since Funeral For A Friend’s debut album CASUALLY DRESSED AND DEEP IN CONVERSATION, the Welshmen have quietly gone about becoming massive. Now scene leaders, a position which has (so far) kept them immune from the anti-emo backlash, their second album has been the definition of “eagerly awaited” since the start of the year.
As a taster, STREETCAR doesn’t tell us much apart from business as usual – robust, tuneful and exciting as ever, with maybe an openness to using samples this time around and building on Matt Davies’ already impressive vocal range.
Looking forward to that album…
