Single Review by Mark Bayross
Complete with gender-bending video, The D4’s latest single, another cut from 6TWENTY, sees the New Zealanders take their garage rock credentials and add hefty amounts of sleaze to the mix. The Hammond organ helps considerably, adding weight to their fairly one-dimensional retro guitar assault. As a result, this is one of The D4’s better choices of single.
LADIES MAN comes backed with live versions of INVADER ACE and OUTTA BLUES, both sufficiently scrappy enough to keep the NME-reading nu-garage connoisseurs happy.
