Single Review by Mark Bayross
The opening song from debut album TRAGEDY ROCKS gets a single release and, given its immediacy and infectious sense of melody, this makes perfect sense.
Tackling the unusual subject of underage drinking among teenage girls, something singer Davey MacManus knows a fair bit about having worked in London parks, this joins previous single LOTTERY WINNERS ON ACID in addressing substance abuse in society today. Or maybe I’m reading a little too much into this…?
Still, it’s tuneful, catchy and no doubt will be highly topical – perfect for summer all round.
