Ash guitarist Charlotte Hatherley has apparently had a solo album in her for the last 18 months but with her main band back and stronger than ever, it’s really a case of “now or never”.
The album, GREY WILL FADE, is out in mid-August, but first off comes this download-only single. That the curiously-titled KIM WILDE is a heady rush of pop-punk guitar and singalong vocals shouldn’t come as too much of a surprise, given Ms Hatherley’s day job, but the 60s vibe does add a unique element to the sound.
