Album Review by EDF
Beenieman’s latest album is a treat for those that like ragga and especially those that liked the Chaka Demus & Pliers album Tease Me from a few years back. Recording and releasing records since 1984 when he was only ten, this release should finally establish Beenie Man to the mainstream.
Collaborations with the likes of Mya on GIRLS THEM SUGAR and Wyclef Jean on the excellent LOVE ME NOW finds a different approach to Beenieman’s style which nearly manages to keep this album enjoyable throughout. It’s hard not to like this album whether it’s tracks with a message such as HATERS & FOOLS or the summer party track TUMBLE which, in a perfect world, should be released as a single. This track definitely sounds like a hit single, disagree with me if you dare. Other then a couple of ordinary tracks, this album should be a huge hit.
