THE WHOLE NINE YARDS - BIOGRAPHY - MATTHEW PERRY


Matthew Perry (Nicholas "Oz" Oseransky) is best known for his role as Chandler in the NBC comedy series FRIENDS, which continues to be one of the highest-rated series on TV.

Successfully making the transition from television to feature films, he was most recently seen opposite Neve Campbell and Dylan McDermott in Warner Bros.' comedy, THREE TO TANGO.

Perry's production company, Velveteen Productions, has recently signed an overall deal with Warner Bros. to create, write and executive produce. Along with his producing partner, Andrew Hill Newman, Perry is writing a pilot for ABC, entitled THE SHRINK, about a psychiatrist who is more neurotic than his own patients.

Born in Williamstown, Massachusetts, Perry was raised in Ottawa, Ontario, in Canada. At age 15 he moved to Los Angeles to live with his father, actor John Bennett Perry. In addition to performing in several high school stage productions, he was an avid tennis player. He ranked number 17 nationally in the junior singles category and number three in the doubles competition.

After graduation, Perry landed the leading role in the television series BOYS WILL BE BOYS. His other television credits include HOME FREE, SYDNEY and a recurring role on GROWING PAINS, as well as starring roles in such television movies as DEADLY RELATIONS, CALL ME ANNA and DANCE 'TIL DAWN.

His additional feature film credits includeALMOST HEROES, FOOLS RUSH IN, A NIGHT IN THE LIFE OF JIMMY REARDON, SHE'S OUT OF CONTROL and PARALLEL LIVES.
