A WALK TO REMEMBER - Q&A with MANDY MOORE
You're a singer, actress, model and presenter all rolled into one - but which do you prefer and why?
Music, by far, is my life. I'm just lucky to have the opportunity to do a bit of all four. I feel as if I can channel a different aspect of creativity by trying them all.
You recently won an award for your star style - what top style tip could you give to our readers?
Be comfortable! I know its a cliché to say that but confidence is sexy, not globs of black eyeliner and a mini skirt.
What attracted you to your role in A WALK TO REMEMBER?
I was so in love with the book by Nicholas Sparks and knew that I wanted to be involved in any way that I could. She [Jamie] was someone I knew I had a lot to learn from.
You have made two more movies since A WALK TO REMEMBER - HOW TO DEAL and TRY SEVENTEEN and voiced a character in KINGDOM HEARTS - you seem committed to acting now, will you still continue to make records ?
Absolutely! I will be back in the studio by the end of this year to create a record I am hopefully very proud of.
Have you got any plans to release another album?
Yes, some time next year [2003].
Which leading man (besides Shane) would you most like to star with?
Jake Gyllenhaal - I'm dying to see him with Jennifer Aniston in the GOOD GIRL.
Who would you love to star alongside on the big screen?
I would love to work with Julianne Moore or John Cusack.
Finally, what advice would you give to aspiring actresses?
Handling job rejection is part of the job, don't take it personally.
