SWIMFAN - Jesse Bradford - biography

Playing 'Ben' in SWIMFAN

Jesse Bradford first came to the attention of the movie-going public in Steven Soderbergh's 1993 cult classic KING OF THE HILL, with Spalding Gray and Elizabeth McGovern. He followed up that performance with roles in HACKERS (1995), opposite Jonny Lee Miller and Angelina Jolie; Baz Luhrmann's ROMEO + JULIET (1996), with Leonardo di Caprio and Claire Danes, and the Merchant-Ivory production A SOLDIER NEVER CRIES (1998), in which he starred opposite Kris Kristofferson, Barbara Hershey and Leelee Sobieski.

His role in 2000's smash hit cheerleading comedy BRING IT ON, in which he played the male lead opposite Kirsten Dunst, affirmed his star qualities and gained him a good deal of attention. He subsequently appeared in Michael Radford's DANCING AT THE BLUE IGUANA. Bradford was voted Exciting New Male Face of the Year at the Young Hollywood Awards in 2001.

Stateside he was most recently seen in Paramount's sci-fi action adventure CLOCKSTOPPERS, in which he played the lead.
