Playing 'Madison' in SWIMFAN
Erika Christensen stunned audiences as Michael Douglas's drug-addicted daughter in Steven Soderbergh's Oscar and Golden Globe winning TRAFFIC (2000). Christensen, together with the rest of the cast, received a Screen Actor's Guild Award for her work in the film. She also won best Female Breakthrough Performance at the MTV Movie Awards and best Female Standout Performance at the Young Hollywood Awards; in addition she was named one of People Magazine's 'Breakthrough Stars of 2001'.
At the age of thirteen, Christensen had a starring role in Disney's LEAVE IT TO BEAVER, and was subsequently seen guesting on primetime TV shows such as FRASIER, NOTHING SACRED, THE PRACTICE and THIRD ROCK FROM THE SUN.
After her starring role in SWIMFAN, Christensen will be seen later this year in the much-anticipated THE BANGER SISTERS opposite Susan Sarandon, Goldie Hawn and Geoffrey Rush.
