Sarah Jessica Parker currently stars in and is a producer on the HBO series SEX AND THE CITY, for which she has received Emmy nominations and a Golden Globe for Best Actress. Parker has appeared in numerous films such as: DUDLEY DO RIGHT, 'TIL THERE WAS YOU, SUBSTANCE OF FIRE, EXTREME MEASURES, THE FIRST WIVES CLUB, MARS ATTACKS, IF LUCY FELL, MIAMI RHAPSODY, ED WOOD,S TRIKING DISTANCE, HOCUS POCUS, HONEYMOON IN VEGAS, LA STORY, FLIGHT OF THE NAVIGATOR, GIRLS JUST WANT TO HAVE FUN, FOOTLOOSE, FIRSTBORN, SOMEWHERE TOMORROW and RICH KIDS.
On stage, Parker starred in the Tony nominated Broadway production of 'Once Upon A Mattress.' This followed her critically acclaimed performance with husband Matthew Broderick in 'How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying.' Prior to these productions, she appeared in 'Sylvia', 'The Innocents', 'By Strouse', 'Annie', 'The Heidi Chronicles' and 'April Snow.'
Parker first gained recognition in the popular series SQUARE PEGS. She also starred in the series EQUAL JUSTICE in 1990. Her other television credits include IN THE BEST INTEREST OF THE CHILDREN, THE RYAN WHITE STORY, DAD IS DEATH, the series and the mini-series A YEAR IN THE LIFE, TWIST OF FATE, and the Hallmark Hall of Fame production of THE ROOM UPSTAIRS. She appeared in her first television special, THE LITTLE MATCH GIRL at age eight. She studied ballet and dancing at the Cincinnati Ballet and the American Ballet and sang in several seasons of the Metropolitan Opera. Currently, she is the US Fund for UNICEF Ambassador, and was awarded the 1995 American Civil Liberties Union Award.
