Movie Review by Alexander N. Messenger
Stars: Adam West, Burt Ward, Julie Newmar
Director: Rick Morales
The dynamic duo are back again in this animated return from the 1960s TV show staring Adam West as Batman, Burt Ward as Robin and Julie Newmar as Catwoman who are 3 of the original cast voicing their characters once again.
With a Bat Spray for everything and every form of transportation including a ROCKET at their disposal Batman and Robin set out on what seemed to be just another crime of the week with their most famous foes back together again, only to eventually discover a more sinister plot brooding in the shadows to foil our heroes.
This fun movie is sure to put a smile on your face with Riddlers riddles and Jokers jokes, the romance between Batman and Catwoman and the law abiding humor of Batman and Robin that make today’s portrayed super heroes seem like the bad guys. You will even enjoy the 3 minute long credits with the original upbeat Batman theme tune which is worth watching. Oh and don’t forget the good old fashioned classic fight scenes with a BOOM, BANG, SLAM and OOOMPH!
Although I really enjoy the darker storylines of Batman, it was a nice change watching a lighter and more humorous story with an excellent twist and an unexpected surprise, plus it was great to hear the original caped crusaders and Catwoman voices again not to mention seeing the original Batmobile back in action.
