Album Review by Nigel A. Messenger
Kylie Minogue has gone through three main stages in her career in terms of general audience perception of her music. She was incredibly successful with her pop releases in the late eighties enhanced by her original claim to fame in the NEIGHBOUR TV show. Then came a period of ‘not so cool’, if you admitted to liking Kylie and now in the past few years with a change in style to the sexy Kylie image her success has gone through the roof.
This greatest hits album concentrates on her early success from 1987 to 1992, so beware if her current style is more to your taste.
However if you want a bit of nostalgia from that period then this should do the trick as it contains tracks from her first five albums plus a bonus remix CD of material from the same period.
What it does – it does well, but it’s not the Kylie at the top of the chart in the new millennium.
