This is the third single to be taken from Fifth Amendment’s excellent self-titled debut album and it’s a clever choice. After the snarling hardcore thump of CAMERA SHY and the mosh-friendly HEAVE, this is a more low-key commercially viable contender for a single.
Despite its slinky Garbage overtones (and those of B-side AIRSTICK), Alli MacInnes’ voice still finds time to well up into a roar and send a shiver down the spine. It’s a catchy, strong tune. The accompanying Lab-4 remix then beefs up the song with some additional bleeps and floaty keyboards.
In an ideal world, this would get Fifth Amendment tons of airplay. If only…
