Taken from the SMALL CIRCLE album, MOON I HIDE is a typically beautiful track for Clayhill to release as a single. Simple, understated but heart-wrenchingly melancholic, it is a sweeping, epic backdrop for Gavin Clark’s world-weary, cracked vocals.
The single is backed by an acoustic cover of the Smiths’ PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE LET ME GET WHAT I WANT that is similarly haunting. Low on laughs, but worth tracking down.
